As well as being a member of the team at Allen Physiotherapy, Stuart is also the Medical Lead for England Athletics and has been at the past two Commonwealth Games (Glasgow 2014 / Delhi 2010) and was part of London 2012 Olympics. He has travelled Internationally with British Athletics teams. This year he has been to the World Youth Athletics Championships in Colombia, and Commonwealth Youth Games in Samoa.
Other career highlights include working with GB Boxing and Sainsbury’s UK School Games, as well as several professional football clubs. Stuart enjoys his varied clinical work, with a wide variety of sports at all levels.
Stuart completed his MSc in Physiotherapy at the University of Southampton after gaining his BSc (Hons) in Sports Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention at Middlesex University. He continues to develop his professional skills with post graduate courses at the University of Hertfordshire, and lecturers on the National Coach Mentoring Programme for England athletics.
He has a background in Strength and Conditioning and has a keen interest in biomechanics and their application in the treatment and prevention of Injuries. During his career he has worked in a variety of NHS disciplines as well as professional sport. His interests include Manual Therapy, the use of real time ultrasound imaging, Biomechanics, Injury Prevention and Performance Enhancement.
